Pesticide Continuing Education Classes
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PRIVATE APPLICATOR CERTIFICATES (PAC/"BROWN CARD"):
Please note that any Private Applicator Certificate (PAC/"Brown Card") expiring after January 1, 2025 will be ineligible for renewal with Continuing Education (CE) hours unless it was obtained by passing the Revised Initial Private Applicator Certificate Exam which we began offering on October 3, 2022. This is a result of recent licensing changes made by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR).
The Kings County Department of Agriculture will be offering Department of Pesticide Regulation approved continuing education courses for private and qualified pesticide applicators for the fall season of 2025.

Burrowing Vertebrate Pest Fumigation Training
The Kings County Department of Agriculture will be offering training sessions regarding the use of aluminum phosphide for burrowing vertebrate control. Please contact our office so we may gauge interest and work on scheduling dates if there is a high demand.
Contact our office to sign up for classes. All of our burrowing vertebrate pest fumigation training classes are $10 a person and fulfill 1 hour of Other.
Pesticide Worker Safety Training
The Kings County Department of Agriculture will be offering the following training sessions in Pesticide Worker Safety in the spring of 2025. These will satisfy the general training requirements under Section 6724 of the California Code of Regulations for Pesticide handlers (employees). All morning sessions will be in English, and all afternoon sessions will be in Spanish. We also provide onsite training if you are a grower/business with a large amount of employees. All classes are held in the building behind (West) the Department of Agriculture building and doors will open for registration 30 minutes prior to start of class. All sales are final, no refunds.
